This is the new view less than 2 minutes from our new front door. 10 months isn’t too long to buy a new home, it felt a lot longer than it actually was. When everything seemed lost at Christmas I read back through my journal and got a great sense of perspective of how quickly we had found the house, made an offer that was accepted and moved forwards. The perspective that my journal gave me afforded us patience and a more rounded and considered decision to wait for at least another year and see where we would be.
I begun to think how long would be too long – 2 years felt like a limit. This all really helpful in trying to make peace with waiting. I’m over the moon we sat tight, waited it out and saw the sale finally go through.
Having spent the last 2 weekends in the new home it feels so right. Morning runs along the coast, followed by swims in the sea (granted it’s still cold) all adding to the sense of excitement and positivity towards what comes next.
Now the time to gradually repair and renovate the house, step back from teaching full time, finish the PT training and begin to structure breath-work and movement for Thanet.
Exciting.
