What does running mean to you:
Running for me is a way to escape and it’s a bit of a mental health break for me. It’s my form of meditation I guess, it’s just my way of meditating
Favourite place to run:
At the moment along the Thames, but in Scotland near where my parents live, a little village called Cardrona. It’s along the Tweed Valley.
Your best running memory:
It would probably be Brecon Beacons, Love Trails Festival. Love Trails run many, many many festivals and this was during the pandemic. It kind of epitomised the running community, so it was trail-running, it was friendly vibes. I just had an awesome weekend and I’ve made so many amazing friends as a result.
Why does running matter?
It’s just my way of connection as well. So it’s not only mental health kind of benefits, but the benefits of just connecting with other people.
Running plans for the future:
Brighton half marathon, then a first triathlon (Nottingham) and then Medoc Marathon, which will be my first marathon but it’s one way to drink wine along the way. I don’t really know what I’ve signed up for but I’ve got good friends who will drag me along.
